We use google calendar to schedule certain equipment for our group. We are only allowed to schedule things 1 week in advance and there is always a flurry of infighting to get scheduled first. I would like to cheat a bit if possible. Can a google calendar be scripted? I would like to schedule the event in the script and have it added to the google calendar exactly 1 week before the beginning of the event. Is this possible?

I know that iCal is scriptable and that there is a new application to sync iCal to google calendar. Maybe this would work? Any other ideas?
