Need new Scanner: Canon LIDE 100?

	as far as I can tell my canon lide 30 is De Funked! it leave a huge black blank in the middle of the scans its USB powerd and I don't scan a lot. what about the LIDE 100? for a Mac? its about $50 at NewEgg. does that one work w OS 10.4 and 10.5? my CanoScan software didnt seem to work w 10.4 and I used SANE not as nifty! cheers and thanks
