The online version of the
Apple Store has gone offline, just under six hours before the Special Event scheduled to take place later today. The store is now displaying its multilingual "We'll be back" message, a usual sign that the company is in the process of adding new hardware or making changes to the product listings within the store itself, with the store likely to come back online shortly after
today's stream finishes.
While there are no firm suggestions for what Apple will be offering from the company itself, aside from hints about Siri, it hasn't stopped
rumors from circulating. Current predictions for what Apple will be revealing include new casing materials and bands for the Apple Watch, a larger "iPad Pro" with a stylus, an iPhone upgrade with Force Touch and specification increases, and a refresh of the Apple TV.
MacNN will be covering the event live, with stories for product launches, software updates, and service upgrades accompanying our usual live blog, offering running commentary as the event progresses. The event begins at 10am PST, 1pm EST, 6pm BST later today.
