I'm thinking of picking one up for the gf (who gets lost all the time) I was looking at garmin nuvi 260 (3.5" screen) vs the 650 with the 4.3 screen. I would like to keep it on the cheaper side but I was wondering if anyone out there who has a gps unit does screen real estate matter on a gps unit?

I've got a Garmin c530 with a 3.5" screen and I find it comfortable to use mounted on my windshield. Everything is big enough that a quick glance is all I need to check something.

I have a 4.0" TomTom. Screen is big enough for me.

I think 3.5" should be good enough.
