In about 2 years when my battery capacity is almost useless, could I just buy a new battery seperately? It would be back to 100% new right? Why are people so worried about their capacity?

Uh, yes. Batteries are always sold as accessories. People are worried about capacity because they want to get the most battery life out of their machines as they can.
