Anyone know how ios5 wireless sync works with multiple iphones and multiple user accounts on a mac? Say a family has two iphones that normally sync to two separate user accounts on a single mac. Can ios5 handle that situation? If both users are logged in and itunes is running, can both phones sync simultaneously?

IOS 5 is standalone, no synching is necessary. icloud takes care of content distribution.

That's simply not true. While iCloud can push music, apps, and documents to all your devices, it doesn't do anything for playlists, videos, podcasts or app organization.

Wireless sync is a known feature of ios5. I'm simply trying to understand how it works if you have multiple iDevices syncing to one mac with multiple user accounts.

It only makes sense that iTunes would have to be running in the user account for the sync to occur.

Well, Apple could be making this part of the Cloud syncing. At this point, it wouldn't really matter what account is currently running in the front.

Also, didn't Lion allow for users to remotely login into their accounts, while someone is logged in to a different account ? Lion can deal with more than one account "running" at the same time.

Yeah, but turtle means not only being logged in but being active at the same time.

I think turtle is referring to the fact that lion can have multiple simultaneous graphical logons. Previous versions of OSX only allowed a single graphical logon, so if you used remote desktop, you took overthe display. With lion, someone can be working locally and someone else can logon remotely to their graphical ui.
