My MBP's screen has been flickering ever since two weeks after I bought my MBP. I've heard this is the (screen inverter) but I'm not for sure... I'm headed to the Apple Store in Denver next week to get it repaired and I'd like to know for sure if it's the screen inverter, so I don't have to wait two days for my MBP to be repaired... I only have two days in Denver and don't wanna spend the whole time concerning about my MBP...

Thanks Much!

Flicker could come from the inverter, which produces power for the cold cathode lamps that light the display, the lamps themselves (though it's not common for more than one to go out at once and you'd see only part of the screen flicker) or even the LCD driver hardware. How old is your MBP, and is it covered by Apple Care?

It's not even one year old and It's covered by applecare still, for another three years actually, I called apple support and they told me that they couldn't help and there best bet woul be to send it in or bring it to the nearest apple store...
