I just ordered Tiger and I'm all giddy picking out Widgets for Dashboard.

So survey...what widgets do you have?

Systat
TiVo Now Playing
Weather
Yellow Pages
Dictionary/Thesaurus
Calculator
Air Traffic Control
Itunes (kind of flaky - controls dont work right)
Calendar

All of these are "stock" except for the Systat and TiVo ones, I think.

The iTunes widget tends to crash from time to time. If you open it before opening iTunes and then press the shuffle control it often brings up a dialog saying it has crashed, but it doesn't seem to mind. I think it's even worse if you don't have any playlists, as was the case for me when I was first using it. The situation improved a bit with 10.4.1 but isn't perfect yet. Also it's a pretty limited widget - in fact most of the stock ones are a bit. Being able to view more song properties and pull down a little view of the playlist would be nice, à la WMP dare I say it.

Other than that the only stock widget I have open is the calendar one, and then I have iCal Events - a 3rd party one that's pretty self-explanatory, and now DoBeDo which shows iCal to do items in a nice little interface and allows editing and creating them.

But overall I'm not yet fully convinced of the need for dashboard as it is.... I look forward to seeing where they go with it - I like the fact that it has sparked a lot of widget development, but think that more should really have been included to start with.

I use weather, sysstat mainly. BUT! I also use doppler and the Kennedy space center live widget, MacMacdailynews widget, CNN widget and Slashdash widget.

Dashboard is great!

Actually my wife was having trouble using the pause/play button. I just tried it again, and it seems to be working now (on my machine)...

Maybe it was a fluke or something.

I somehow lost Translation.wdgt ... and can't seem to find it in the hundreds of widgets
listed in very broad categories (and no "search" function or alphabetical listing) on the
Apple widgets site. All I can find is a mention of it in the OS X 10.4.8 upgrade (which
I already have installed months ago). Can anybody give me the developer-source site
for this widget, or a similar English-Portuguese translator?
