I have a Linksys WRT54G2 v1 that I recently bought to replace a crappy old wireless router I had. It works great except that it takes about 45 seconds to connect my macbook pro running 10.5.6 to the wireless when I wake it up. My wife's 12" powerbook(hand me down) connects instantly.

Any ideas? I am using a WPA2 Personal key w/ TKIP+AES on the router.

Check in your Network preferences and delete any extraneous wireless networks in there. The Mac will attempt to connect to them in order on wake/power on.
