This morning we fixed a server clock glitch. No biggie, but for awhile people were posting from 10 minutes in the future.

I reviewed those posts, and NOT ONE POST had useful foreknowledge. No stock quotes, nothing on where the meteors strike, or who will win the next few elections. Those future guys really goofed off during the opportunity. Maybe we can do better.

So guys and gals, the next time you see you're posting in the past, please show some consideration. If your posting date is before Mar 11, 2011 post a warning. The Fukushima sea wall needs to be 5 meters higher, pronto.

If you're not so far back, a few financial quotes could yield returns. Remember, helping your past selves is helping yourself.

Even if you are only a few minutes back, amaze the rest of us with your intelligent predictions. A few minutes can still cover a lottery win, or warn people away from an especially boring post about to drop.

Don't waste the opportunity the way they ... er, we did last time.

Well, duh, there weren't any elections.

Obama was elected for life.

Was there a problem communicating to the NTP server pool, or some sort of clock skew? Just curious, because I remember having to deal with clock skews a great deal under VMWare ESXi, although this was ages ago.

Looks like someone didn't read the future answer to that question.

Wow, that's a lot of depreciation in the first 36 months.
