So I have always wanted to have a projector to watch movies and play x-box and maybe run my computer through... I also have the IDEA to bring it on trips to watch movies with (we go on weekend long trips up to this lodge to go snowmobiling)

So my idea was to have a projector that could play movies and also connect to my iBook so I can show the movies I shot during the day with my DV camera. so basically I am looking for an all around video projector for under $1000

I was looking into them and I came accross the InFocus X2 it;s 800x600 but apparently it will play HDTV quality movies. it also has planty of lumens (1700) and has a good contrast ratio (2000:1) but the best part is you can fund it online for under $700 new...

so here I am asking the wise people at macnn about what they think...

I realize the lamps cost $300 and I realize I will need a dark room and a nice screen to get the max quality out of this thing, but it seems pretty flexable...

I am not stuck on buying somthing new, I just want something that will be cheap enough to fit in my budget and also work well enough for me to use...

so what do you all have to say? any input will be appreciated...

I am excited to play Halo as well...

I just did like 4 hours of research on the projectors and I settled on an InFocus Screen Play 4805, the guys at http://www.avsforum.com seem to like it a lot, and reccomend it to ANYONE who wants to get into the front projection market....

I found a refurbished one for $702 so it looks like a winner price wise, I probably wont be purchasing one for another month or so (maybe 6 months)

I might be moving to a bigger house in 6 months so it would be easier to set up there, there is not one room in this house that does not have natural daylight coming in from more then one source...
