Works pretty much how I imagined.

Could they have picked an uglier car to demo? Makes me wonder if there's a limit to what kind of cars they can rig this to.

No its not. No more fun watching mini-skirted women getting out of cars if this sort of thing catches on.

I like it. The video almost made it sound sensible as opposed to the rather more primary "Look at how awesome my car is, it's like transformers!" feature it really is.

Maybe they're just completely devoid of sense, but wanted to do this cool thing they thought up.

I mean, it takes a *serious* dumb**** to build a website advertising a product and then incorporate keyword pop-ups to obscure your own advertising, annoy your customers, AND direct them to other sites selling related products.

what happens when your battery dies? or let's say the electronics go haywire and the side of your car opens up on the freeway. YES!

Darn. When I first viewed the video, I didn't click on any of the links.

I just went back and tried to view more information by clicking on some of the links, and none of the links work for me.

Too bad.

I'd rock a Lincoln Mark VIII any day...the same 32V V8 as the Mustang Cobra, a suspension that lowers itself at higher speeds, the '97 and up look a lot better though. I'd assume this would only be feasible on two door cars.

I loved that car when it first came out. It does look dated now, but back then, it really stood out.
And the engine was a dream.... Hearing it rev up was almost like music.

I'm getting double-underlined ContentLink ads in the text block beneath the video - for the "CAR DOOR" in the left-hand column title, the second "Car" in the first sentence, and the "gas station" in the right-hand column.

Sad to see horsepower has overwhelmed your sense of good aesthetics.

The Mark VIII was converted back in 1998. I think it was up for sale on eBay last year.

The '97-'98 didn't look as bad:

And an automatically lowering suspension!

That's still awful.

I'm not a fan of boats.

Is there any other color for such a quality vehicle?

I love boats though, always wanted a de-commissioned Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.

The only boat I ever thought was cool was the Mercury Marauder.

What happened to 24's Stanza?

The concept is pretty cool, but I certainly wouldn't want to deal with it in the event it were to break like power windows do.

There's an incredible video of a supercharged Marauder doing a several-minute-long burnout but I can't seem to find it. And I was going to use that as an excuse to post this video:
