I was wondering can a new 12" iBook play World of Warcraft? I want the laptop for school and photo editing in photoshop, but was wondering if it cold play WoW. Or should I get the 12" PBook? But if it can't handle it either than i will probably still just get the iBook. And get something else for games.

Either should work fine. My brother plays on a 700mhz emac. I play on a 933.

Photoshop at 1024x768? And you're worried about games?

So do you think it would be better on a 12" PBook then a 12" iBook? And maybe with an external monitor?

It will definitely be better on the PowerBook — because the PowerBook is a more powerful computer — but it should be acceptable on either.

Powerbook 12" has 64mb Vram, and the iBook has 32mb.

A 15" can get up to a 128mb Vram card as does the 17" standard PowerBook.

Well thanks everyone, I don't think I will get anything over 12" for either the iBook or PBook. Because I am looking to get something to last until the 2nd revisions of the new books. And don't want to pay too much on my machine now. But if the PBook has a big enough performance difference then I will probably pay the extra 500 to get one.

I played on my 12" 1Ghz w/ 768ram without a hitch at all. You can turn the graphics up a bit too, runs fine. You'll get slowdown in the big cities and stuff, but nothing will help that. At least enjoy it looking nice outdoors.

Well I think im going to wait to see if the 12" PBook gets a memory upgrade. If it does then I might buy it, but I can also play on an external monitor while at home with the better video card then the iBook. But then again if the ibook can play it just fine then i might save money and buy it instead.

Even if it doesn't get the upgrade I will still probably get the PBook. I was wondering how it will play on the 12" PBook with say the dell 20" widescreen monitor? Or would a 17" monitor be better to play on?
Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions, just want to get a nice setup.
Thanks for any help.
