Is the Graphire worth the money for a starter tablet?

I have the Bluetooth Graphire and have been pretty happy with it.

you should save a little more money and just go for the intuos3 models. youll be happier and they will last longer.

How are the Intuos tablets cheaper than the corresponding Graphire? Do you mean a used model?

lol, i said you should save a little more and just get the intuos3, not that you would save money by getting one. the intuos3 is better and if you get it from the get go then you wont have to upgrade at all, unless you get the whole draw on screen setup, i forget what its called. Thats what i did tho, and if i had to decide all over again, i would do the same thing.

Ah. okay, I get it now

Yeah, if I had the cash I probably would have got an Intuos as well. However, most artists I know don't see much of a difference even with the extra sensitivity levels. The only selling point for the Intuos seems to be the extra programmable buttons.

that is the main reason i decided to go intuos3. it makes switching tools in photoshop just that much quicker and speeds up my overall work flow.
