Hi, All

I'm wondering if anyone's used the new Macbook Air to as a streaming media server (e.g. PS3MediaServer, EyeConnect, etc). I've been trying to look for reviews focusing on that aspect. Specifically, I'm interested in finding out if it's got enough CPU muscle to serve/transcode media (e.g. iTunes movie downloads, DVD-rips). I have a separate 27" iMac that can handle that full-time, but it would be handy to know if the Air can do it for when taking it on the go.

I don't understand your question. You want to take the MacBook Air on the go and stream media to what? Why not just watch your media on the MacBook? And what formats do you need to transcode? Most media plays just fine on the Mac. I'm confused.

Stream to DLNA-compliant devices mostly, e.g. PS3, XBox 360, HDTVs. So the goal is to have it act as a media server to stream content to other display devices that are much better than the tiny screens.

My guess is that the Air will work just fine. But it's only a guess.
