I want to dispose my 3 years old 12" iBook with this specs

1.33ghz G4
512 RAM
40gb HD
32 mb Vram
wifi/bluetooth
OS X leopard

Do you guys think that it's a good deal to trade it with a brand new Apple TV?
It sounds sweet to me but do you think it's fair?

I don't think it's a good deal. Me thinks you can get a better deal by selling it and buying an ATV.

Agreed on selling the laptop then buying an Apple TV.

Question though, how's Leopard been running for you on that iBook?
I have returned... 2020 MacBook Air - 1.1 GHz Quad-Core i5 - 16 GB RAM

I have the same iBook, though with 1GB ram. Leopard runs ok, but only ok. It runs noticeably slower then Tiger did, to the point where I've considered downgrading. The improved network connectivity in Leopard is the only thing that stops me - I just couldn't stand Tiger hogging cpu and beachballing every time it loses a mounted connection on my wlan.

Sorry to the OP for the derail!

It's a bit slower but overall performance is OK..

It's still usable but if i sell it later it's value will depreciate more.. and i don't want it end it's life on my hands..
