Anyone here listen to james mcmurtry? He's on GW Bush's iPod, or used to be before "we can't make it here". He is, in my humble opinion, one of the best songwriters in the last 20 years. If you arent familliar with him, you should be.....
The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away
I've been a fan of his for years, and would agree that he's one of the best out there. I really don't like country but I have all his albums. Great, great lyricist...must get that from his father ("...he was a drinking man with a guitar problem..."). I heard David Dye interview him a year or so ago. Very smart but very down to earth.
That said...I don't like it when he gets too political, but that's just me.
