Looks like someone from my alma matter has a just a few too many mouse pads in his inventory (and a bit too much time on his hands). I wonder if RIT just bought too an excess of these things or what?

we did this with student directory phone books my freshman year. we took about 100 of them and made a lounge chair. it was pretty comfortable but i kept sliding out of it because the covers were glossy.

Seriously, though, I would love to have a sofa with a place for a mousepad. I use my iBook on the sofa with a TV-table thingy and a mousepad, which is kinda awkward. 802.11 is changing the world, but some pieces are moving slower than others. My optical mouse works on the sofa's fabric, but it's much too low to use seriously (and the arm rests on the ends are too high).

Heh, I even found our sofa online:

(although ours is a different fabric/colour)
