Can those usb attachments from belkin work? I have a bunch of movies on my external hard drives and don't want to run wire all over my place to watch my movies . . . thoughts?

Yes, a USB dongle will work. Or an ethernet-wifi bridge, although I haven't seen any of those that support N yet.

EDIMAX EW-7718Un IEEE 802.11n Draft USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter is one option.
