I have a 1Tb TimeCapsule as the center of my home network. There are two machines that do Time Machine backups to this device: an iMac G5 connected by direct ethernet, and a MacBook that connects wirelessly. My wife moved some files from her MacBook onto the Time Capsule, and at first they showed up on the drive in Finder, in addition to the backups. But recently the non-backup files seem to have disappeared. We can still see the two backups (X.sparsebundle), and Time Machine works OK to restore from them, but there appears to be nothing else on the TimeCapsule.

Is there any way to explore the drive to see if these files have really disappeared? Or some trick that we need to be doing to see them?

Thanks,
