Hi please help me get a handle on this!

I had Photoshop CS installed on OX 10.3.9 then also installed CS2 Premium, both worked well.
I then upgraded to 10.4, now both Photoshop apps give this msg:-

Could not initialize photoshop because disk is not available.

Photoshop CS2 is part of CS Premium, other apps all work fine including ImageReady

I have errors on PS2 after doing what you did. Even restoring it from a backup doesn't work. Thinking of contacting Adobe on Monday.

Well I suppose it's good to know that I'm not the only one, sort of. Please let me know if you come across a fix and I will do the same for you.

Just reinstall Photoshop. Some of your problems may have to do with an archive and install where the application is looking for stuff in the old system folders.

Luckily my Copy of Creative Suite 2 came after i installed Tiger. So, all my problems for fixed after i installed.

what happened for me was i couldnt drag documents to the photoshop icon. I had to navigate to folders throught the open dialogue. check this article for more info.

so, my suggestion is at least try a reinstall.

I have tried this, think I will now have to archive and reinstall 10.4 then install cs2 again when system is clean, I'm not looking forward to this....

I've since learned that third party ram should be removed before intall of 10.4 this may have caused the problem
