hey,i know the emac comes equipped with i think a nvidia geforce 2?..does anyone know if an emac has an open AGP slot in it or is the video tottally un-updatable.

It's not upgradable; it's on the board. The only thing you can upgrade on an eMac is RAM.

i have an emac with (upgraded) superdrive ($200) and western digital (8mb cache) hard drive. so ner.


(video card isn't upgradable though, so you're right there at least)

Could you upgrade from a combo drive to a super drive?
if so would i just buy one and replace it or I was thinking of just buying an External.

The CD-RW drive in my eMac is just a standard 5 1/4" drive. (I can even see a covered up volume dial and headphone jack)

yes, you can change the optical drive to a superdrive if you like.

If you get an internal SuperDrive that Apple uses (Pioneer) then you can use iDVD. If you go external you won't be able to use iDVD. If that matters to you.
