[Phat Bastard]

This is really weird. Whenever I arrange my icons by name, or by kind, in Icon view, I get blank spaces placed where there should be icons. This throws the whole arrangement off. I'm wondering if I have any hidden icons, but nothing is revealed in the terminal.

The phenomenon happens on my Desktop and in my Applications folder. It would probably happen in other folders that I haven't checked, as well.

Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have any ideas to clear it up?

I get the same thing once in a while, too. It happens when I turn on arrange by name or show item info. Usually it only moves files with long filenames. It goes away if I turn off and on arrange by name once or twice.
