All the talk about the NHL got me wondering what sports people actually watch on television. I only watch MLB, NFL, and some English Premiere League. What professional sports do you watch either on TV or in person?

Out of that list, Soccer (proper football), Tennis, Rugby (American football done properly, without yer nancy boy padding) and motorsport.

Watch the big football matches on TV, don't have Sky so its usually the FA cup, european matches and the Euro and World Cup competitions. Rugby is great, especially when its muddy and stuff, nice to watch a bunch of guys running aound in the rain and mud getting soaked (ps. I'm not gay or 'owt). Watch the womens tennis more than the mens (told you I wasn't ). Motorsport faves are the Superbikes and Moto GP (Valentino Rossi, I salute you, sir), BTCC touring cars, Rallying, and F1 (out of tradition than entertainment these days though )

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

None from that list.

I don't really watch any sports regularly, but if I do watch some, it'll be either badminton, tennis, swimming (including springboard diving, etc.), skiing (not cross-country), [figure] skating, curling... yeah, I think that's about it... Possibly a match of handball very occasionally, if I'm coerced enough...

Definitely GOLF. Also, college hoops, football (NFL and NCAA), and I don't know why, but when they have those outdoorsmen games on (i.e. tree climbing, wood chopping) - I can't turn away from it.

Two things I like to see but are just not shown enough are indoor volleyball and Formula 1. I think the v-ball just gets no respect on the east coast, and F1... well.. I guess that just gets crushed over here by ("get'er done") stupid NASCAR (and my cable company wants extra for speed channel).

The big three in the US: Baseball, basketball and football. I watch some soccer games (MLS) but usually not until the playoffs. Oh, and I try to watch most of the FIFA World Cup games.

NFL, tennis (ladies only), beach volleyball (ladies only), gymnastics, X-Games, Euro drag racing, WRC, Rallye Raid, GT2, Class 1 powerboats.

I dropped F1 about 5 years ago when Max and Bernie banned overtaking but I'll still do Monaco every now and then.

MLB season is so long that I don't watch consistently until the playoffs.
I watch NFL, NHL (well, I used to), NASCAR and boxing.

I'd like to see a match between Fatal1ty and Thresh (in his prime). Personally, I'd say Thresh would win, but given that Thresh has not formally competed in years and that they don't even (masterfully) play the same game, we'll never really know.

You cannot truly enjoy a sport unless you heart is with a certain team, and you feel your teams loss is like losing a part of yourself

That's why I don't like watching football and golf. I don't have a favorite team. It's a heartless sport to me personally.

I think that explains our enjoyment of watching sports.

I love the NFL (where they play the perfected, interesting form of rugby) -- it's far and away my favorite thing to watch. After that, I mainly watch tennis. I've given up on the NBA after years of being a fan. I've never been interested in MLB or NHL.

The sports I can stand/follow are:

baseball, soccer, basketball, and to a limited extent tennis and american football (it has to be a grand slam or a big game - or a Jets game - but those are depressing).

And I like watch some of the Tour de France every year. Especially in the era of LA, and I've been to the finale, at the Champs Elyses and stuff.

Oh and the Olympics have reeled me in once or twice.

I hadn't paid any attention to sports during my teen years. But recently I find myself having a difficult time changing the channel whenever I come across a soccer match.

Baseball, mostly. I watch a little tennis, NFL football, Arena football, and women's gymnastics when I get a chance.

You'd love Fantasy Football leagues. You watch all the games because you usually have players on your team or who you're playing against involved.

Personally, I love watching the NFL and MLB.

Some hockey (Red Wings), and the Tour DeFrance, and a rare basketball game. Watching baseball, golf, football, IMHO, is like watching paint dry; boring.

I don't care for sports. My only real interest is the Olympics,
