I dont like cluttering my laptop with files so i just put apps on there and save everything else external using FW800/400. Im a writer/photographer/video-movie E.A.D. and i am always paranoid my drives will die and i will lose it all.i want to be able to have a backup of my external drive and have it be automatic but i dont want their fates tied.

what RAID setup can i get thats automatic and safe?
