I don't know if someone's already posted this in a thread before, but back in June a guy named Erling Ellingsen whipped together an inexpensive multi-touch interface for his Mac. He dubbed it dyeSight and you'll soon see why.
That is awesome. I hope he publishes the software that let him do that, it won't be a economical solution to a real multi-touch pad, but it would still be very cool.
