I was sent a Word document with text form fields, but I haven't been able to figure out how to enter text into them. Is there a form entry mode in Word that I'm missing? Every time I try to complete a field, I end up replacing the entire field object with text instead. I'm sure that's not how text form fields are meant to be used. I'm using Office X. Thanks in advance!

Solution: Activate "Protect Form" from the Forms Toolbar.

Yes, that is true. I don't know why the people who made the document didn't do this themselves.
