Awesome dude!
When you get the chance, please post a moderately detailed review on performance (rosetta in particular), battery life, HD playback and so forth.

I'd like to hear about Airport reception, if you can compare it to your Titanium PowerBook that would be great. Just a general idea of better or worse . . .

Thanks, and Congrats!

MacBook Airport reception so far is great compared to my TiBook, but the reception on that is so crappy it wouldn't take much to trump it.

Yeah that is true that the Titanium Airport reception was rather lacking, but it is good to hear that it didn't degrade back down to that level. I am afraid that the design decision to relocate the antenna to the display hinge may have decreased the reception capabilities from the previous side-of-the-display location. We shall see as more people comment on it . . . Thanks again!

Too early to tell really. Need some more definitive tests as that number fluctuates.

people really should not use xbench to benchmark on the intel. their really isn't anything out their yet. XBench might be ported to intel but it isn't optimized the way it is optimized for moto.

That said the intel macbook spanks even my g5 quad, and feels faster!

i thought my Overclocked PB was fast, but the MBP is blazing. Has anyone tried Unreal 2004 on it yet? Or is the MBP able to run it?

I just installed the demo. Very choppy at default settings. 800x600. I haven't played with it extensively. Menu is sluggish. Is there a universal binary?

Ooooh, and my these speakers are starting to get toasty. Particularly the left one by the super nifty power jack. Hot to the touch, but not so bad on the lap, actually.

I'm seeing networks I've never seen on any laptop that's been in my apartment. I haven't bothered to check which ones are open yet...

Download the freeware iStumbler on both the TiBook and the MBP to get actual figures of the signal strength for better comparison.

There is already a UB of Unreal Tournament 2004.
