Tooki, you just closed Mastrap's thread asking a very reasonable question, and you gave a totally dickwad, chickencrap answer, in my opinion. What the hell is wrong with you?

1. This is a MACINTOSH forum.
2. Apple is moving to Intel
3. Therefore there will obviously be people posting about this phenomenon.
4. If you have to be anal and lock every thread about MACINTOSH computers, on a MACINTOSH forum, one has to question your mental state.
5. If you think people should post in another section, maybe it would be a good idea to them in which section that is, instead of posting a ten page long guide on what people can't post.
6. You seem, honestly, in my opinion, to get high on occasion about abusing your admin status.
7. If you're offended, good. It's about bloody time.

Hey dumbass, there's a feedback forum for this crap.

And if you are going to write me PM at least have the balls to leave the option on to reply to them.

I left a note in feedback about my personal take on this.

Capt'n if you're not interested, nobody forces you to read the Intel threads. Until then, if you want to be a moderator, I suggest that you start your own forum.

And how does your sage like advice not apply to you as well?

A decision has clearly been made to scale back the number of threads on the topic. You may not like it but that's just too bad isn't it? You aren't a moderator much less the Admin.

Tooki- why don't you just make an Intel sub-forum. That way, people can make as many threads as they want.

Too much like hard work.

I'd also like to add. Killing off discussion ON A DISCUSSION FORUM: WHAT A F***ING GENIUS IDEA!

Seems like a very lazy move. Isn't his job pruning these threads? Merging similar ones? Locking useless ones? So instead he just says we can't talk about it anymore. Who knows, maybe the Lounge is only for celebrity gossip.
-"I don't believe in God. "
"That doesn't matter. He believes in you."

-"I'm not agnostic. Just nonpartisan. Theological Switzerland, that's me."

I've just kind of had it with tooki's idea of what goes where. It's bad enough that the the distinction of what is allowed to go in the Mac OSX section often seems to be something that only exists in tooki's mind. Fine, we accept that, even if it sometimes really hard to know what exactly he considers part of the OS or not. But it really gets just plain stupid, when people post threads on a topic that has to do with the Mac in the one area on MacNN that is supposed to be open to all sorts of discussion.

It's not porn.
It's not about tooki.
It's not about some 201x51pixel wise sig.
it's not about how to pirate some software.
It's not about politics.
It's not about religion.
It's about Apple and Apple's future.

Where is that damn image of bashing one's head against the wall when one needs it?

If you were forum mods/admins, you'd understand why sometimes, you have to do things that seem harsh.

Nobody here is trying to stifle discussion. You are free to do it in any one of the myriad existing threads on the topic.
