The only reason I can come up with for why I want this is he's psycho.

Which doesn't strike me as a particularly good reason.

He probably is suffering emotionally. Being a psycho in the closet.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

He is already suffering.

Now you're both suffering.

Feel sorry for the kid though.

She's asking the court for sole custody. That's pretty unusual. I wonder what motivated that.

But she's probably trying to save her son from the crazy that is Scientology. A lot of people are somehow unaware of how dangerous the CoS really is, but I guess she finally wised up.

BTW, here's my pet theory on why Katie Holmes didn't come back for The Dark Knight: Cruise hates Christian Bale because Bale based part of his performance of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho on Cruise, so Tom pressured Katie to drop out after they got married.

I think so. Also want's the daughter to have free choice in religion. Her dad is a well known high profile divorce lawyer.
She has residence set up in NY. Her lawyer is the pit bull that handled the Christie Brinkley divorce. Tom is screwed.

Never hated the guy, but there was always something not right. His teeth were always too white, hair never moved, is a Scientologist. Little stuff like that.

IMO, Kelly Preston is too brainwashed by now to leave Jonny. Katie is much stronger. Nice payback for Tom dumping on Nicole also.

So, yes. Go ahead and dislike him.

I believe it was she that got him involved in the "church". I think her father was big into CoS as well. (I'm going off of memory here... I could be wrong.)

Not only is Katie divorcing Tom, she's also divorcing Scientology--which is absolutely brutal in harassing and bullying prominent members leaving the organization. That part has already started in NYC with 2 SUVs shadowing and tailing them.

In Scientology, this'd be the year that Suri was to go in for heavy indoctrination.

More than sufficient reason to divorce.

But it's gonna be brutal.

Thanks VERY much for the visions of Cruise running around naked with a chainsaw.

I'm curious. With this type of intimidation going on, what would happen if the child was somehow taken and given to Tom? Would it be a criminal act? Do the rules range once Divorce is filed for?

He is currently in Norway? I think working on a new movie.

Wait, so the TomKat breakup is legit? I saw something about it in OK! at the grocery store this past weekend, but I never know how reliable those magazines are anymore.

While this kind of intimidation is routine for the CoS, in this case, I'm willing to bet this is tabloid nonsense. If anyone is actually following Katie, it's Tom's lawyers, looking for dirt to use in the divorce.

They supposedly didn't even have cameras early on. Now they do...but the lack of cameras sort of rules against the lawyer snooping aspect.

She sure did. Procuring a spouse is as much a purchase as it is anything else. The only difference is that it isn't (usually) a cash transaction.

Anyone who commits to a long term relationship without giving it at least as much (if not way, way, more) consideration then they would when buying an iPod is a fool.

I have no knowledge of this. However, I do not find it out of them realm of possibility that they may.
While difficult to carry within NYC, it is not impossible given the right "friends". I would not say this would be beyond the reach of the COS at all.

It was the other way around: Tom (older, experienced, luxuriously rich) bought Katie (hero worship--she had a poster of him in her room as a teen.)

That's completely normal procedure.

They don't mention phone terror and other forms of demoralization, such as public slander. Though that might not have been possible due to completely innocuous trash contents.
