Does anyone think there will be another revision of the "classic" iPod, or have we witnessed the end of that line?

Dying. DJs use them, as do people who mistakenly believe they need their whole collection with them or that it's a good backup option.

I'm thinking one or two more generations before SSDs get cheap enough to deliver the final blow.

You mean "generations" as in NOR flash, NAND flash, etc?
Jailbroken iPhones already mount spinning hard drives, and maybe iPods too.

If she's going to watch that much video, do her eyes a favor and give her a 32GB iPod Touch. I can fit 60 hours in 30GB, but if Oprah's video repository is 1080p, then I don't know if it will fit.
