Does anyone who knows about food (or eats a lot of it) have an opinion on this?

New Zealand Lamb is a lot cheaper, at least in Hong Kong, but the Welsh Lamb still sells well despite costing much more.

Is it worth the cost for a special occasion?

My mum is a bit of a lamb fanatic, but she prefers Welsh lamb. So I assume it's not worth the price difference?

Edit: That makes no sense. Good night, Internet.

I can't even remember what lamb tastes like, but I can tell you that Welshmen rear their sheep with lots of love. Which possibly accounts for the price difference.

We (That being the people who live near, but not in the Green Mountain State) have this to say about our neighbor "Vermont - Where the men are men, the women are men, and the sheep run scared".
What, me worry?

Or about New Zealand: "Where men are men and sheep are worried."

Hahaha

Answer: Welsh lamb really seems to be coming on strong over the last few years, but I've eaten both and to be honest... they both tasted excellent to me. I might be wrong, but I don't think you'll be able to say "oh, that's definitely Welsh lamb we're eating!"

So: with the New Zealand. And buy the best cut you can just to make up for it.

I believe that you gentlemen are incorrect. You mean "Tasmanian lamb", not "New Zealand lamb". New Zealand, of course, doesn't exist and is purely a construct of the Tasmanian Sheep Marketing Board.
