Apple "Outs" New Product.
Apple "Outs" New Lawsuit.
Apple "Outs" New Building Plans.
Insider "Outs" New Computer Rumors.

Please stop overusing the word "out" in your news articles! It is getting ridiculous! Nobody "outs" a lawsuit. They FILE them. And what's wrong with using the word "introduce?" The above headlines could be made SO MUCH BETTER if they read as follows:

1. Apple Introduces New Product.
2. Apple Files New Lawsuit
3. Apple Reveals New Building Plans.
4. Insider Exposes New Computer Rumors.

this was outed before...

forum admins/mods have nothing to do with macnn "news" pages (macnn, electronista, etc). there are links there for feedback. the two sides are separately run and while there was a connection with one ore two admins, they no longer visit here.

I've railed on this in a few comment threads on front page news.

Forget it.

I don't know whether it's a team, or just one moron editor, but the frequency of this stylistic idiocy seems to come and ebb in waves.

This.

I've written articles for publication before. There is this one editor that insists on changing "built-in" to "inbuilt." THAT'S NOT WHAT I WROTE! What the fonk is wrong with "built-in?" I don't say "inbuilt" when speaking so why would I write that way?

I stopped reading the news pages of MacNN back around 2004, I believe. I used to read it multiple times a day. and then I think a redesign occurred that made me lose interest in the site.

I've reported this to the powers that be a couple times. To no avail.

Sounds like someone's in the closet and desperately trying to drop hints.
