Okay, so I head off to the new Apple.com and start viewing all the new Leopard demos that were posted yesterday; however, I cannot readily find where to control the volume in the QT windows any longer that are embedded.

Am I missing something here?

I have a volume control next to the play button.

Rick, it seems to be a Safari thing.
Safari

Firefox

So, yeah, I don't see a way in Safari to set volume either.

You can skin QuickTime and that's apparently what Apple did. What's really the weird thing is that Firefox isn't honoring the skin.

The new apple.com website is one step forward, and two steps back. Yes, it looks much better and more modern, but usability is down the drain. The movie controls are just one example. What was wrong with the standard QuickTime movie controls? Nothing actually. Those (which I believe are Javascript, not a QuickTime skin) which are use now don't show the download progress, have no access to the popup menu, no volume control etc. All that for no apparent advantage other then arguable looking "better".
