I know your burning wallets are uncomfortable, but at least wait for the W8 beta coming next month, as in the month coming this Wednesday.

Great. Now instead of controlling my laptop by moving my fingertip two inches on a trackpad, I can control it by waving my hands around like a madman in public. Where do I sign up?

customer: Metro doesn't make any sense on a desktop computer !!
Microsoft: that's due to your computer lacking Kinect. Next !!

I saw this and immediately thought about that scene in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where the radio is controlled in the same manner. The only way to make it stay on the same channel and not change the volume is to sit like a statue, not moving a limb.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Typical Microsoft, take a great idea and apply it in an idiotic way. How about license Kinect for use by TV manufacturers or something similar to replace remote controls? Anything but in a laptop...

It will be fun to annoy Windows users by getting close enough to their laptops to set off the motion sensors, maybe closing some windows for them or something. How will this thing detect unintended motion either from other people, or from you when you aren't trying to interact with the UI?

If I were a Kinnect/Windows programmer, I'd build a backdoor into the system that could be activated by mooning the computer.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Hopefully they cam replace the three-finger salute with the bird as the reboot command.

Now _that_ would be useful! Only problem is getting a crashed computer to recognize anything.

When wrist movement reaches a certain speed/frequency, it pops up with "Buy membership now to continue" message.
