FS: 1GHz 17" iMac G4, 768mb RAM, 80gb HD, 4x SuperDrive, AirPort extreme, LCD has NO dead pixels guaranteed. 10.4 and iLife '05 installed. It will be a clean install, and will boot up unregistered.

Comes with original keyboard, mouse, speakers, documentation, Apple care until 8-24-06, and box. All are in great shape.

$975 shipped.

It was originally a refurb, and when we got it it had 4 horrible dead pixels in the center (which was obviously why it was returned...otherwise, the machine was flawless). I emailed Steve Jobs personally with pictures of the LCD after getting the tech support runaround and got a call the next morning from someone on Steve's behalf who was to make sure the issue was resolved, and it was . I swear this LCD is brighter than any other iMac G4 I'd seen. Definitely a huge improvement over the original monitor.

Will send pics at request.

Comes with original keyboard, mouse, speakers, documentation, Apple care until late summer '06 (august I think), and box. All are in great shape.

$1100 shipped.

That's a pretty good deal.. I wish I had the money. I am going to have to shell out $300 dollars for a Logic Board Replacement in my iBook, I went to the Apple store in hopes to have it fixed, as its serial number fits under the "Logicboard Replacement Plan" but alas, I was past the deadline.. Maybe an eMail to Steve Jobs is the answer!

Now I just have to figure it out!!!

Why is it that G4 iMacs go for more than G5s?

The only thing I can imagine that have going for them is Dual-Booting.. But that should be less and less of a reason as days go by.

Actually, dual-boot is a really good reason to drive the price up. Look at Tibook for example. Those things are utter ****, but they still get a hefty premium on eBay today.

I had two iBook G3s that had been in about 5 times for logic board replacements, so I sent Jobs an e-mail. They replaced both of my iBooks.

Good Point "OSXPINOT" why do G4's sell for more than a G5? Who wouldn't just go by a G5! I don't get it!
