According to this Wired article, Leopard was 'Flakey' on a Powerbook, as well as on a MacBook!

read it here, it's mentioned at the bottom of the article:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...s/default.mspx

Has anyone with a beta tried it on a Powerbook?

From the article:
Flipping through documents, browsing other computers on my network and cleaning up my desktop -- such things are hardly capable of sustaining one's interest for more than a few seconds, let alone producing joy.
But joy is exactly what I felt as I pointed and clicked my way around the visually immersive world of Mac OS X version 10.5, better known as Leopard.
That is some kind of "flakey"....

It's still early days, so it's no surprise that it's 'flaky' on some machines. There is still at least 4 months development time, so I wouldn't really worry about it too much. I am sure my 2 yr old PowerBook will be just fine.

A beta of a software to be release in four months is NOT a gauge of final-version stability, wouldn't you know...

i wouldn't be concerned about stability with a "developer release." i mean, if it wasn't flaky, it would already be out on shelves, right?

it doesn't affect me, but i'm just glad that the author did not say that that leopard was too slow on the G4. he just mentioned stability. if it was a big problem, the author would've said something about it, so that's a good sign
