Hi all,

I tried to search for this, but nothing came up.

This happens when I scroll in the finder, and happens ALWAYS. I do not have anything wierd installed on my Leopard, besides the driver for my Wacom Tablet. And I did a Clean install with leopard.

Have anyone seen this before ? And even better, knows a fix ?

Darn it! My bootlicking fetish is exposed to the public.

On serious note: I just saw on flickr a person with the same problem, just in different colors. So im not the only one (phew! I guess).

If anyone has had success with a fix, do tell!

I've had this happen to me with a clean install.

Maybe I should have mentioned that I blurred the name of my harddrives, photo collection etc.

Take a closer look at the Folders, and even the highlighted folder text and see the problem.

Unless you believe that blue folders should turn CYAN and then PINK/CYAN when going about in Finder, please don't comment. I need a fix, which I think is a shot in the dark.

Kevin, did it get fixed with another clean install, or are you waiting too for an update to fix it ?

A reboot fixed it. This was on 10.5.1

You are right, thanks. Now then to find out what triggers it ;-)

Hard to tell. Just a bug in the rendering engine I guess. We will need some ball bearings and some vaseline to fix this.

Actually sometimes just logging out, then back in sometimes fixes things. No restart actually needed.

Try deleting caches, particularly any related to LaunchServices or ATS. There's a bunch in /Library/Caches and /System/Library/Caches that could maybe be causing this (make sure you reboot immediately after deleting them).

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
