A couple movies that are coming out later in 2008. One being the new Batman movie, which I am really stoked for. I think the joker looks really sick, no pun intended. Cloverfield is going to be a Monster movie that is shot all by camcorders. I think it's going to be a really cool movie to see. Tell me what you guys think!

I think Cloverfield looks like all hype.
The Dark Knight looks awesome though.

Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

Cloverfield looks awesome, I'm looking forward to seeing that.
I'm not quite sold on the Dark Knight. Something about the joker - I just don't buy it. Perhaps its the baggage of reading the batman comics as a kid/teenager and then there's Jack Nicholson who did such a superb job as the Joker.

I've read enough and kept up enough with Cloverfield news that I'm hyped to see it. Really love their marketing through the use of faux corporate and environmental sites, as well as myspace pages for all the characters. Good stuff.

Having been a yuuuuuge fan of Batman Begins, I'm pumped about The Dark Knight. Early rumors say Heath Ledger does a really good job. I'm anxious to judge for myself.

In other news, I'm looking forward to AVP-R. Saw the first one and it was a great popcorn flick. Plus, I think this one has the hottie who played Michelle on 24, in a Ripley-type of role.

Heath still looks poor for a joker, and the voice he's using isn't doing much either for me. I think it'll be a good movie and I think Heath's acting will be fine, but his physical presence leaves a lot to be desired.

Can't wait for Batman. That is the film I want to see for 2008. I have full confidence that Ledger will be an awesome "dark" Joker. Nicholson's Joker was indeed superb, but was definitely a more light-hearted version. Personally I love the darker Batman movies. Feels more like what the Batman universe should be like.
From the trailer thats out, Ledger looks to have the psycho clown down pretty good. I like his laugh and his posture (from the few scenes we see of him).
Oh man, I get a chubby just thinkin about this movie.

I'm not allowed to take quotes out of context for fun? Are you the same person that questions kids at to why they enjoy Apple Jacks, even though they don't taste like apples?

I just watched the original Batman for the first time in at least 6 years last week. I can't believe I used to think that movie was cool. I'm sure for its time it was nice, but after watching Batman Begins, I don't see any of the old four Batman movies being anything more than barely watchable.
Yes, Nicholson was good, but he seemed more like Cesar Romero's Joker than the Joker from the comics (*ahem* grahic novels). Even the version from the animated series was darker than Nicholson's. Don't get me wrong; good Joker, but the darker tone of the new movies is 1,000 times better.
In short, I agree with maroma.

I just saw Walk Hard the other day. Not really "Upcoming," but it was good nonetheless. Wasn't extremely funny, but there was some good parts.

I just recently watched Cloverfield and it was alright. Nothing too crazy but it was cool to watch. I definitely wouldn't say it was the best movie I saw so far this year though. Right now I'm waiting to see Iron Man still. I am a huge fan of Juno though, also not upcoming but oh well.
I still like animated movies so I'm excited for Wall-E
