You're using the picture that begat the question to answer the question?

I'm using the photo which begat the question as an indicator of how pervasive the phenomenon of vandalism was.

This is probably my fault.

Does it change things if I mention it's doubtful Banksy was the only person doing this?

I'm sure he didn't do "FALLING BO BICE".

Ah, he was inspired by widespread similar vandalism. That makes a little more sense, if still conjecture.

My guess would be Banksy started it, here at least. I recognize the writing, and those were the first I saw.

Then we had copycats.

You were doing so convincingly as an American by using Fahrenheit, and then go **** it up with the 24-hour time.

23H00. 30°C (86°F) slight breeze but its hot air. At 17H00 it was 38°C (100°F).

Holidays start on Friday. I can't wait to get to the coast and into the sea (24°C/75°F).

299K and 71% humidity @ 10am in this city of molten hell. Last night was the first night I kept the AC on, brutally humid.

Bliss, tonight there's a cool breeze. Cool enough in the house to warrant a t-shirt. Much better.

I'm escaping the cold in Chicago (we were in the 50s last nights), trading it for 90F+ Germany.

Weather is really screwed up.

And no, I'm not moving. Just vacationing.

It's making me pretty miserable.

It really should be consistently warmer outside than inside by now.

It's mid-july, and we haven't dug out the a/c yet. There's a few nights we've wanted it, but not quite enough to dig them out of the attic. Pleasant sleeping weather.

It's been an absolutely cold and miserable summer in eastern Canada so far, but it looks like the first half of 2015 set the instrumental temperature record for the hottest on record (by a convincing margin). Unless the world goes into an unexpected cold snap, it seems likely that 2015 will be yet another hottest year on record.

this week, I love my air conditioner.

A/C + iPad + Netflix + bedroom > widescreen tv + living room + ceiling fan.

Be a great week to have vacation.

I'm glad we're off the grid, I'd hate to see what our electric bill would be like right now.

It appears at first glance to be snow, about a quarter-inch worth, but in reality it's little micro-bullet hailstones.

We had some of that the other day, along with a funnel cloud that passed ~1/2 from the house. (In Dec?!?) Most of the stones were the size of a BB, but a few were a cm or larger.

Thankfully, these are much smaller. I'd say about 2 mm.

32" of snow, and much larger drifts. The plows quit coming around yesterday about noon. Snow is 2 feet IN the street and 32" everywhere else. I'll bet The FedGov will be off Monday and Tuesday at least.

We got about 14" here, but it was extremely windy all night so the drifts are pretty deep.

I was kind of hoping for more, I actually enjoy shoveling snow, since usually the day after a storm brings beautiful weather.
