According to this hands on review (page 2 of a two page review), the new MacBook Pro will debut alongside new ExpressCard/34 solution from Belkin for FW800 connectivity. The reviewer goes on to say that his sources indicate that multiple vendors are readying ExpressCard solutions for CDMA/EVDO and GPRS/EDGE users.

This is great news for those of us who use Verizon's EVDO card or have external FW800 drives that are critical for business functionality. I knew that eventually these add ons would show up, but I can't afford to buy a laptop and have it sit in the house while I wait for them. If these ExpressCards debut alongside the MacBook Pro, then that is indeed good news.
