When will the 1 billionth hand be played on Pokerroom.com?
The site is shut down for play money games and multi table tourneys.
I'm very tempted to deposit $10.00 and see if my luck is good enough for that free Vegas trip for the lucky people playing at the billionth hand table.

Last week I finished 11th in a freeroll tourney winning $15.00
BUT because I had never deposited real money with pokerroom.com they will not pay out.
I understand their reasoning, just a little dissapointed

Hey,
Bunch of stuff I thought you guys would like:
1. Software:
Mac Poker Pro (latest v. 1.11): by openendsoftware - you need this. It is $39 and is the mac version of PokerTracker, which you've probably heard about. It has a 1000 hand demo - then you have to buy it.
Poker Odds Calculator: a program that calculates the relative strengths of poker hands for a variety of popular poker games.
iPoker: play every imaginable game against computer opponents.
Poker Academy Pro: an interesting little app. In the demo version you can only play 100 hands before they repeat, but It provides analysis of your play and reccomendations for improvement. Very slick. Hellmuth chose this as the materials for his Camp Hellmuth.
PokerCharts web-based play tracking system.
2. Bonus Whoring: There is a guide at PokerCheckRaise. This guide pertains mostly to PC users, unless you have virtual PC. However, the concept is valid for us as well. Consider all of the sites now available to us and you can work out your own bonus scheme. For instance Hollywood right now has a 500% bonus up to $1000 (so deposit 200 and get 1000 bucks - not bad at all).
3. Online Info/Resources
ESPN WSOP Broadcast Schedule
Poker-Mac: Mac site, dedicated to basically all of you. It is a compendium of all poker resources available to those on a mac using OS X. Software, online sites, where to learn, what to read, etc... Supported by affiliate click-throughs, but lots of good information.
Poker Pulse: Daily Stats for usage at all online poker sites.
4. Online Sites*
Non-Poker Network (pokerroom) Sites
Bugsy's Club: (client) : excellent
MyPokerPlace
Pacific Poker
Live3D Poker in beta testing.
Poker Network (pokerroom) Skins
PokerRoom
West Coast Wagers: Brand Spanking New!!
Hollywood Poker
Future Bet
Poker Gaming
Power Player
CaribSports
HoldEm Poker
Betsson
BetonBet
BayouPoker
CherryCasino
5. Podcasts
Phil Gordon's WSOP Podcast
Poker Diagram
Lord Admiral Card club
6. Online Reading
Mike Caro's University of Poker
Card Player Magazine archives
Two Plus Two Publishing
Pokerpages Article archive Full Contact Poker Forum

I recently bought DD Poker (reviews at VT, not MU). It's quite fun, though probably more worth $19 instead of $29......... Learned of DD Poker from the "What's Hot" section of the latest Mac World.

kpne1home, there is a lot of action in Mac Poker scene, basically, online poker action.
www.macpoker101.com is a good place to start your Mac online poker adventure.

This is cross posted from my comments an article:
From MacNN article:
Briefly: Online gambling; FCP users group
http://www.macnn.com/articles/05/12/...ing.fcp.group/
In brief: macpacificpoker.com is bringing online gambling to Mac and Linux users, offering games such as Texas Holdem, Blackjack, Craps, Slots, and more...

My response to Macnn
I went to Mac Pacific Poker's site. The mac page auto loaded. Initially I thought this was a good thing.
I went to the registration page. I typed in my information and then got to "Terms and conditions." Call me crazy but I actually hit the link to try to look at the terms and conditions.
Safari generated a new page which...auto forwarded to the Mac front page. It would seem that all the pages were set to auto forward to a "we don't serve mac" page. So to simplify, the new Mac entry page was put there.
As a result, the registration screen will not get you to terms, help, or anything else. So I turned to calling tech support. As online Poker players know... most of this is overseas.
After two failed calls (Yes, the calls actually 'failed' insofar as they rand and went dead mid-ring) I got a tech-support grunt. He explained to me any combination of answers that included, "We don't support mac", "The Mac page takes you to the mac page that doesn't have all the features" and my personal favourite, "We don't work on the mac because our pages are made for Normal Computers."
I was told that I'd be sent a link that would take me to the correct mac page. (I'm assuming he means the same front page that suddenly makes them "Mac Compatible.") So far I have received no email.
To me making your PC application Mac compatible doesn't stop when the application compiles for the Mac. There is tech suppor education, legal documents, and support pages.
At this time I would VEHEMENTLY reccommend that you DO NOT invest time or especially MONEY into MacPacificPoker.
