My iBook is with FedEx in Anchorage - but is marked with "Regulatory Agency Clearance Delay".
What is this and how long will it sit there. Since Apple has been selling these (600/12.1/Combo) for a few months, shouldn't all the "Regulatory" things like FCC and UL been done already?
Thanks,
Trygve

U.S. Customs in Anchorage is the agency. They can select any shipment for random inspection. Last May and June my iBook was in a shipment they delayed for about eight days. Hang in there.
They usually don't open every box, just ask Apple or its vendor (Alpha Top for iBooks?) for more documentation about the order and where it was made.

Mine got marked like this as well. It took about a day for it to move out of Alaska upon arrival.

Being in Achorage, I can verify this information. All shipments go throught the airport of course, which has been under just as much security as any other in the country, if not more. Lots of packages are getting delayed for random checks that are coming through Anchorage.
