I have been trying to get IE 5.0 to run on my Mac as an alternative to Netscape and cannot get it to launch. Our company has been using primarily Netscape and goes through a proxy server. I've copied the proxy server settings over to IE as closely as possible(proxy server name, port number) but every time I try to launch IE, I get to the point where it says "initializing/loading Internet Services" and then nothing happens. Any ideas. I have the feeling I'm missing something real simple. FYI when I ask our IT people for help they just say "it's not corporate policy to use IE." Blah! Thank you!!!!
