"The white men wanted a stud to breed slaves"?

I must've watched the wrong version of that movie.

GK couldn't you just have said Matrix 3 without having to post a giant image in another language?

No way in hell. Alien is well-acted and very atmospheric. Christ, look at the cast: John Hurt, Ian Holm, Harry Dean Stanton, Yaphet Kotto. Those are talented actors.

Aliens, while action-packed, is poorly acted. Paul Reiser, Bill Paxton and that dreadful overly macho hispanic chick. Blech! And the bad dialogue. Even South Park ridiculed the dialogue in Aliens:

"They mostly come at night. Mostly."

I wanted Newt dead immediately. Cutes kid or animals have no place in an action film unless they're killed. Otherwise, it's just pandering to sentimental sucks and parents. If you want cutes kids, rent an Olson Twins movie.

Aliens had two things going for it: cool weaponry and kick-ass alien queen.

Alien and Aliens are two very different (and both very well done) movies. One is a true horror/drama, and the other is just good ole fashioned action (yet tastefully done.) To say one is better than the other is to say "I <3 AKSHUN MOVES BCUZ TEHY r FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
<some witty quote that identifies my originality as a person except for the fact everyone else does the same thing>

Fair enough, if you're judging based on the conventions of their genres. Based on the quality of the writing and acting, Alien is the better movie.

The original Rambo is actually quite good, and becoming something of a modern classic. Anyways:

Snatch
Desperado
Thunderball
The Legend II
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey
Bad Boys II
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Rambo First Blood Part 2, on the other hand rocks.

Raiders is sort of a sequel to temple of doom, if you go chronologically, and if you want to say last crusade is a sequel to temple of doom, it's definitely better than the temple.

Thats all I can think of, but Rush Hour 2 was not better than Rush Hour 1. And, though I realize no one said it was good, I feel the need to say that Shanghi Knights was stupid.

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) was the first movie released in the series. Or are you saying the events in The Temple of Doom (1984) precede the events in Raiders of the Lost Ark?

Also agree with X-Men 2, although I really enjoyed 1. Just think 2 was a little bit better.

I think he's saying the latter. The events in Temple of Doom (1935) occur before the events in Raiders (1936).

In terms of replay value, Temple is a lot more fun to watch. Raiders has a better plot, but always seems a bit long and drawn out. Almost like Alien vs. Aliens; Aliens is just a more fun movie to watch, even though Alien is better. (Besides, Alien still scares the crap out of me.)
Also, I just turned 26 recently.

Thunderball is the 4th James Bond movie, often considered the best. Sean Connery tried to relive his Bond days in the horrible remake of this movie, Never Say Never Again.

Snatch is loosely the sequel to Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

I'm undecided on which of these movies I like better. Time to rent them, I think.

I thought Evil Dead 2 was just a remake of the original with a bigger budget for special effects? Doesn't matter, Army of Darkness was truly the best out of the three movies.

Randman: Superman II? You got to be sh!tting me! Don't get me wrong, it's a fun movie to watch (can't say the same for III and IV) but no way is it better than the original.

I would have to say Spiderman 2 was better than the original because it had a better villain.

Slick shoes?! Are you crazy?!

Temple of doom sucked.

I said Batman returns because it actually Keaton in the bat suit fighting and whatnot. Plus, Jack way overacted as the Joker. And I liked Michelle's Catwoman.

Supes 2, is arguable because it had action. Kneel before Zod! The first was too long and the Krypton & Smallville scenes (horrible teen Clark) sucked.

I'll add Attack of the clones over phantom menace, though that's not saying much.

I think that each "Star Wars" gets better.

Kill Bill 2

I LOVE KB1 but second one is just so much better.

I mostly agree with most sequels listed here (other than Stallone's movies) but I'm not sure why you think Blade 2 is better than first one? Blade have this original style and great dialogues that Blade 2 doesn't have. WWF-style fighting was a major turn-off.
