I have a horrid Sony KDF-55WF655. I bought it 12/30/2004. 14 months after I bought it I had to replace the Bulb AND Bulb power supply. ($550.00) 7 months later it started displaying the blue corner, that progressed up and now back in to the primary picture area. It covers about 25 percent of the screen now. It's the light box. They want $1300.00 to replace it. NFW! LOTS of folks have this issue, and Sony is turning a blind eye to the customer base. letters, have done no good as it would open the flood gates at Sony to replace over 300,000 TV's that have this problem so far!
TODAY... The 2nd bulb Power supply died. I don't want ANOTHER JUNK SONY.. EVER!!!
I use DirecTV-HD that has the HDMI out, I have a Sony DVD player with HDMI out , and an old Mitsubitchi VHS deck for antique tapes -RCA's out....
What is the best quality/inexpensive ratio TV in the 50"-60" arena??

Panasonic TH-50PX600U or TH-58PX600U. Both are fantastic panels.

I have been thinking about a JVC RP 1080i model. You might want to research those.
