I'm in the market for a new wallet. My requirements are the following:
- Leather
- Bifold
- Able to hold and close with 24 full size/thickness cards
- a dedicated area for ID card, clear front with easy extraction opening.
So my current wallet is nothing like George Constanza's on Seinfeld. I take out what I don't use/need, nor carry cash often, but I still can't close my current one all the way.
I've tried keeping infrequently used cards at home, only to often find I don't have them when needed.
Any recomendations?

What, me worry?

This meets most of your criteria:

I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Could any of those be stored in your phone as a barcode or by using the mini/keychain style cards?

No to get to far off topic, but this is what I'm thinking in terms of storing the barcode on the phone. (Keep in mind, I don't have a smartphone so I don't even know is this is possible...)
Physically scan the barcode of your grocery store loyalty card (for example) and save it as an image file onto your smartphone - then at the store they could scan your phone's screen while it is displaying the barcode.
Are the scanner at the checkout counter of most retailers able to scan a phone display - I don't know??

You admit they are infrequently used, yet you need to keep them in your pocket all of the time? I keep a small box in my car that holds all of my retailer specific cards, etc.

iM@k, pretty sure NH stores have minicards for keychains.
On my keychain:
grocery discount card x2
cvs discount card
y member card
petco discount card
wallet:
DL
ATM card
CC X 3
CC specific stores x 3
AAA
Health insurance x3
Dental
Blood donor/type card
Library card
Cash
Stamps
This is pared down after I switched wallets. My husband has a Costanza wallet, every receipt ever.

Wow.
I bet you're one of the men who back up the stereotype of "real men" not needing to ask for help or directions because they (idiotically think) know everything.
I bet if I hadn't posted this thread, bought a wallet that turned out to suck, and made a statement to that effect in your presnce, you'd give me shit for not doing better research.
You see my friend, for me, this place is a valuble resource for things like this. We have hundreds of members from all over the world, who've had many unique experiences.
I knew there'd be folks like mduell, Tightsocks, and Andi*Pandi whose replies are akin to suggesting I use MS Paint instead of suggesting the right system to run an Adobe Suite on. Some even some to question why I'd want to run an Adobe Suite anyway when MS Paint works fine for them, oblivious to the fact that my reasons are my own, and stating them will not guide me toward the answers I seek.

Adobe Suite? MS Paint? No, you don't want any of that. You want an Etch-A-Sketch.

hey hey hey! I did do a search for you, but didn't find anything good. Having invested that much in this thread, I posted with what my experience was with lots of cards. Don't get mad, bro.

Have you found any mens wallets that hold your required 24 cards?
It's like asking for a mens watch with a smaller watch face... look at womens watches.

24 cards??
Look there's only so much someone can do with the parameters you require. 24 cards requires a murse, man; you can't put that in your back pocket and not expect to develop serious alignment problems.

He could get a nice jacket and put it in the inside pocket... right next to the violin case holding his Tommy gun.

How about two wallets? The more common 12 cards in the first wallet, along with a decent amount of cash. The less-common 12 cards and the grand in cash stay in the 2nd wallet in the glove box. Carry both on those occasions when you need it all.

Unless you take my suggestion of 2 wallets. As long as you keep them balanced, equal card-payload on each buttock, you could have 240 cards in there and still be ok. One day you'll look back on these days of a mere 24 cards, and laugh at the primitive savagery carrying so few...

Perhaps, I should clarify that my current walletholds all my cards and stuff, just fine. while there's not enough slots for all cards, i double and triple them up which work just fine, and I can close it, but because the folds are too short, moving toa truely closed position is a bit tight on the contents. That all.

I did debate sticking a wink on the end but I hate that. i thought the fact that I don't usually weigh in with the harsh might have tipped my comment off.
I'll whack a smiley on next time.

FWIW, I did notice it was out of character, but still was unsure of how to take it.
I also understand your aversion to smileys. Smileys ruin jokes.
