Do you have specific places that MUST be clean? The bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, a particular item? (Just to name a few)

So, fellow MacNNers, Where's your c-spot?

I can't think straight unless my environment has a certain amount of clutter in it. It's as if I extract entropy from my mind directly into my environment.

Everywhere. Now, a little clutter? I can live with that.

I want my bathroom vanity to be pretty darn clean-that's where toothbrushes and such go-but the rest of the bathroom needs to be pretty clean as well. The kitchen counters, sink and stove need to be clean too. The floor overall shouldn't look like I haven't swept this year, which is a challenge with a couple of long-haired cats and a Norwegian Elkhound-mix and a German Shepherd, but now that we have all hardwood and tile it's at least easy to see where the work needs to be done.

Overall, I need some order throughout the house, but a little clutter gives the place a lived-in feel.

When you are asthmatic, allergic to dust and dust itself is a trigger, everything needs to be pretty clean.

Why C? As in ‘clean spot’?

I don’t really have one. My entire apartment is usually quite messy and frequently looks like it hasn’t been swept/vacuumed/dusted/washed in a while (and at least half of those frequentlies, the looks aren’t deceiving). The only places that really bother me if (too) dirty would be the toilet and the toilet sink—basically, all the porcelain I have in the house, except for plates. I usually clean the sink and toilet immediately after use if there’s any sign of dirtying up.

I do keep things neat, though. My clothes are all neatly folded, my books and CD’s are lined up flush and sorted by genre and alphabetically, my kitchen cupboard has everything in its right place, etc. It’s just that the neatness tends to go awry once I get too lazy to keep cleaning things up …
