Now making PCs... I don't know if I'm just out of the loop but I was surpised to see this Fox News article.

Saw that on Engadget.

Not sure if I could care less.

I just don't understand where it even came from or what their strategy is... they went from making inexpensive decent quality TVs to making not-so-cheap mid-ranged PCs?

Their only "expertise" would be in the display panel area. But I'm not sure if this gives them enough of an advantage to make this work.

Laptop display are quite a bit different than large flat screen TVs.

Everyone I know that has bought a Vizio has had something crap out on them. The panels are nice on some models, but all the ports and other assorted electronic do-dads are of the crappiest quality.

I have 3 Vizio tvs. Two if them are great. The third likes to reboot itself every half hour or so.

I have a Samsung LCD TV from 2008 that has started rebooting itself 3-10 times at startup before settling.

I've had a Vizio for about a year and the tuner card is dead, still has a great picture though.
