I currently have the PB 15", SE T616 and an iPod. I am contemplating on getting a PDA mainly for reading PDFs, regular PIM and light writing. I find the T616 (as well as the iPod) an-almost-PDA but lacking in many respects--screen size, input difficulty, etc. I also find the 15" is too large to comfortably carry with me at all times. So, here are two possible setups for future purchases: 1). 17" PB (will mostly be on the desk), PDA (BT-enabled and with WiFi). The idea will be using the PDA as a semi-laptop replacement and get a bigger screen PB to use at home. 2). 12" PB to be used as a large-size PDA (the battery might be a problem), external monitor to be used at home. How are people integrating various peripherals into their PB lifestyle?

I'd wait for the new revision 12" PB seeing how if they use the new Moto processors it should give the PB line some jump in battery life. If you cant wait, Why not get a 12" iBook, batteries last forever on those things and you could get a new 1.25 emac for home use and the cost would be the same as getting one 17" if not less, but on the other hand the 17" is an awesome computer in itself. Tuff call but a fun decision to make nonetheless.

$1099-800MHz iBook
$999-1.25MHz 8x superdrive eMac
or
$2999-17" Powerbook 1.33MHz 2xsuperdrive

(non educational price's above)
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)
